College of Nursing- Facilities

Specialized clinical training will be provided from super specialty Athena Hospital.This is a Pioneer hospital which has got all the specialties and departments under one roof. The hospital is well equipped with modern technology like Ventilators, Heart Lung Machine, Dialysis Unit, and Cardiac ICU. The variety and the number of cases attended in this hospital has become a great boon to the students training.

A number of opportunities are provided for the students to develop their skills and talents at various levels such Yoga, Dance, Indoor-outdoor games and sports. Hostel day, Picnic etc., are organized to enhance social interaction and to make use of these facilities.

Physical education department train students in sports and games. Talented students are sent to participate in university sports meet as well as in various competitions held at local State and National level.

All laboratories of the Institution is fully equipped. The Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories are well equipped. The Nursing Foundation Laboratory is fully fledged with dummies, models, manikins, charts and all equipment needed for the student’s learning. The Community Health Nursing, Computer Lab, Nutrition and OBG Laboratories are also well equipped with needed facilities.

We have a well stocked computerized library that has books by Indian & Foreign authors, Indian & Foreign Journals, Periodicals, Magazines, Newspapers, CD’s and Cassettes. Library is managed by professionally qualified personnel.

On admission every student will undergo Medical Examination. An annual checkup will be done for all students. Medical facility is available to students in our own super specialty Athena Hospital .Vaccination against hepatitis B and any communicable diseases if necessary.

Transport facility to college, hostel, clinical and community posting is available to all the students.
